Bioremediation of cattle manure using microalgae after pre-treatment with biomass ash
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this work, cattle manure was diluted and pre-treated with biomass ash to yield a liquid fraction solid precipitate. Microalgae grown in the fraction, batch semi-continuous mode, achieved maximum productivities of 522.9 554.3 mg L−1 day−1 (12 days) for Chlorella protothecoides Tetradesmus obliquus, respectively. Nutrient removal efficiency highest semicontinuous mode replacement 10% reactor volume every 48 h. The produced algal characterized its nutrient composition. Both, biomass, precipitate aqueous extracts, were evaluated as biostimulants wheat watercress seeds Increments germination index 177% 34% obliquus. strategy adopted work is coherent circular economy principles, combining effluent treatment production added-value materials that could be used or animal feed additives.

Introduction: Bioremediation convertssoils pollutants to safe and non-toxic substance through metabolic activities of microorganisms. This research was conducted to evaluate the effect of bacteria on removal of phenanthrene and anthracene from polluted soils using chicken manure as an auxiliary substrate. Materials and Methods: First, uniformly-graded soils were transferred to the pilots, then...

متن کاملBioremediation of Sewage Wastewater Using Selective Algae for Manure Production
Phycoremediation is the process of employing algae for removing excess nutrient load from wastewater and subsequently diminish the pollution load. It is an alternative technology of treating sewage wastewater compare to conventional treatment process in economical and sustainable way. Therefore, in the present investigation we had made an effort to phycoremediate the IARI’s sewage wastewater wi...
متن کاملAdvanced Treatment of Meat Processing Wastewaters Using Microalgae
Introduction: Effluents of Meat processing are one of the untreated wastewaters containing high volumes of polluted components even after the primary and secondary treatments. The high cost of using the advanced treatment methods of the wastewaters has led the industry owners to release them in the nature without effective removal of nitrogen and phosphorus. In this study, an economic advanced ...
